Council Member Natasha Harper-Madison — District 1

**Natasha Harper-Madison** is the Austin City Council Member for District 1 (East Austin, North). She is Chair of the Housing & Planning Committee. A small business owner and community organizer, Harper-Madison was first elected in 2018 and served as Mayor Pro Tem during a previous council term. She is one of the first two Black women elected to Austin City Council.
