Council Member Mike Siegel — District 7

**Mike Siegel** is the Austin City Council Member for District 7 (North Austin, including The Domain). He holds a BA from Brandeis University and a JD from Cornell Law School. A member of the Democratic Socialists of America (DSA), Siegel is the most left-leaning member of Austin City Council. He spent 25 years in public service, including work as an assistant city attorney for the City of Austin, and ran for Congress against Michael McCaul twice (2018, 2020).
