Military Spouse — Demographic Reviewer

**Jen Kowalski** is a 35-year-old military spouse who has moved seven times in twelve years of marriage to an Army officer. She has lived in Georgia, Texas, Kansas, Germany, Washington state, Virginia, and now North Carolina. She holds a teaching license that she's had to re-certify in four states, has started over at a new school three times, and has given up her career trajectory so many times she's lost count. She currently substitute teaches because she knows they'll PCS again in 18 months and no principal will hire a full-time teacher who's leaving that soon.
