**Ezra Kim-Nakamura** is the elected treasury steward for HorizonDAO, a $45M decentralized autonomous organization that makes grants to open-source infrastructure projects. Before the DAO role, they were a DeFi protocol engineer at Aave for three years and before that a traditional quant at Two Sigma for four years. They live in Lisbon (for tax reasons they'll explain at length if asked) and work across time zones with 12 other core contributors they've never met in person.
